The Story of Greg Atkins

Greg began his career at the Tony Award™ winning South Coast Repertory (one of TIME magazines top 5 theaters), and quickly grew from actor to writer, to director and creative director. He realized early on that everything from a 30 second commercial to an entire theme park is held together and driven by the story.

Greg has written and/or directed productions and special events for The Walt Disney Company (including national and international tours), Busch Gardens, Universal Theme Parks, Blizzard Entertainment, South Coast Repertory, Princess Cruises, SenovvA and other major entertainment companies. In the corporate world, Greg has written/directed both live and video productions for Samsung, Honda, Skechers, Hyundai, Ernst and Young and ESPN, to name a few.

He is the Executive Director of InterActors, an ensemble of 80 improv actors who speak over 40 languages and perform all over the world. In one 12-month period alone, they performed in 32 international cities.

Greg was a creative consultant on the hit ABC primetime show Whose Line is it Anyway? and co-wrote/directed the television pilot The Everyday Adventures of Hannah Handleman (Super Genius).

He was writer/director of the arrival ceremonies in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City for the Olympic Torch Relay of the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games.

A published author and playwright, Greg’s latest book IMPROV! is a staple in the improvisation world. In addition, his many published plays continue to be produced around the world.
